Eggs in Ramekins - Inspired by Julia Child

Now eggs are very common as scrambled, omelets, or any other kind that i forgot or not in the mood to list, but there's a new way to serve eggs!
in RAMEKINS!

I got it from the book "Mastering The Art of French Cooking" By Julia Child who was actually a great American-French cook who loves FOOD! Just like Me :D

So anyway, let's start with the recipe! Shall we?
YOU WILL NEED!

An egg of course. ( as much as you want )

Parmesan Cheese.

Basil Leaves.

and some butter or oil to butter the ramekins and salt and black pepper to taste!

SO LETS START :D

of course you'll have to butter the ramekins first.. so the egg doesn't stick to the ramekin!

You crack the egg in and sprinkle some salt and black pepper to taste.

Here's the cooking procedure..
You get a pan.. not a very deep one! You fill it quarter-half way through the ramekin with water and let it boil! Then you put in the ramekin.
You let it boil for around 10 minutes..

Here's how to get the egg fully covered with cooked whites!
The last 3 minutes of the cooking time you should COVER UP THE PAN! The steam does its work in this part!

and now for the next part!

You add the basil leaves on the eggs

and the parmesan cheese..

you preheat the oven to Broil and you put the pan in on the first shelf of the oven for 3 minutes or till the cheese bubbles

AND TADAAAAAA :D

You've got yourself an egg in a ramekin! I know it doesn't look REALLY pleasant but come on, you don't get the same exact McDonalds burger in the commercials right?
Enjoy and I hope you did not blow up your stove or oven :D
